I've been creating photographic artwork for over 10 years. I consider photography an extension of my spiritual practice; I use the camera to "see" things that the human eye cannot, and to explore concepts or transmute emotions where words fail. I am particularly interested in abstract photography, and the nuanced relationship between transcendence and physical reality.
My photographic practice is both an exploration of ontology (our being: how we know, perceive & interpret the world), and an attempt to create breathing space amidst the 21st century visual clutter and noise. I hope to present the viewer with new ways of seeing and experiencing: to see the ethereal in the everyday and to observe the sheer beauty of colour, form, and motion. For me, it is an embodied practice, a meditation, and a dialogue between the self & the Self.

This series was my attempt to deny the self in the self portrait. It was inspired by the Buddhist idea of anattā (meaning no-self) and explored ideas of embodiment, spirituality, femininity, and saw me grappling with the notorious question: Who Am I?

The series explores the dichotomy between humans and landscapes: intrusion and belonging, permanence and impermanence, impact and insignificance.

Informed by meditations on the Chakras. In the expansion of one's own consciousness, we encounter inner sight. The energies and emotions of our body jostle for attention, but we are invited to be the observer.

WORK WITH ME
I offer photoshoots working mostly with service-based practitioners (yoga teachers, therapists, qi gong facilitators, musicians) in your space or out in nature, for when you need your online imagery to reflect who you are & what you offer. Please get in touch to discuss. My day rate is £300, this includes shooting & editing. I love photography & making people feel seen, particularly those of you who "hate getting my photo taken" (!) -I promise you this can be a pleasant experience!
"I chose Talor to capture my essence in a portrait-style, informal shoot for use in my energy healing and coaching website, and to also have some shots which would be appropriate for LinkedIn and social media. I was very impressed with her artistic creativity & we align in many ways in our outlook on life. From the very first scoping call I knew she was the one to work with, and now I have seen the output I am gobsmacked and overjoyed at the results!" - Matthew, Energy Alchemy
"I am not someone who particularly likes pictures of me - they often feel forced and / or contrived - and I often feel they don't represent me properly. However, working with Talor was easy! She made me feel very comfortable and natural, and she captured a wide range of shots in different outfits and backgrounds during what was a very enjoyable and fun experience. I would say 50% are stunning and 85-90% are extremely usable. This way exceeded my expectations." - Didier, Coaching & Inner Work
